“Ten Most Important Research Findings on Parenting in
the last 150 Years.”[2
Bring a friend or a future parent: “Folks, we have got to change the parenting habitsof the world: No child is created evil; every child is created a potential genius. Let’s find that genius in every child and reduce the chaos and anti-social behaviors in our world.”
There is no cost to attend.
In my brief presentation I will pay especial thanks to midwives. Reason: I was delivered by a midwife, who, instead of turning me upside down and acidifying my digestive track, handled me gently. She turned out the lights and closed the blinds and let me be born in darkness. Hence, at 84 years I’ve never needed glasses or eye surgery.
The findings are distilled from four years of graduate study at Harvard University and from observing child-rearing practices in over 60 nations, including Korea, China, Japan, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Niue, Kiribati, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Albania, Israel, France, Italy, England, Switzerland, Germany, and all parts of the United States. “Every nation can teach every other nation something about raising healthy and creative children.”
